First Time Guest?

If you are going to be our guest for the first time we want you to feel comfortable by answering some of your questions ahead of time. If you have any questions that have not been answered here please feel free to call the church office at 330-337-9531.

We look forward to meeting you!

Our first service is at 8:30 a.m. in the chapel.
Sunday School is available for all ages (nursery through adult) at 9:30 a.m.
Second service is at 10:45 a.m. in the sanctuary. The Praise Team music begins at 10:40.

So, if you hear music please feel free to come on in!

Third service known as the "Hearts on Fire" service is at 11:00 a.m. in our Fellowship Hall.  During the summer months, this service may be held out of doors under a tent.

There is a nursery available for both services and Sunday School.  It is located on the first floor of the education wing.

Our service is a combination of music, prayer and a message from our pastor.  We all sing praise and traditional hymns together and at 10:45 service our adult, children's or hand bell choir provides special music.

Second Hour is offered for children up to 4th grade during second service.  Adults gather the children at the designated time listed in the bulletin and go to a classroom for age related activities.

If you are worried about what to wear, please don't be!  People come dressed from jeans to dresses and suit coats. We are here to worship Jesus!!

We also have many other programs for any and all ages throughout the week.  If you are interested in bible study, book study, music, missions or fellowship please check out the rest of the website for more information or call the church office.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR

Welcome!  and I hope that our website will be a benefit to you in your faith journey.

Whether you are looking for a Church home or simply desire to learn more about us as a congregation, this website should help orient you to the First United Methodist Church of Salem.

Our mission statement is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.  The Bible teaches that Christ in us 'is the hope of glory' (Colossians 1:27).

It is our joy to share that glory within
northern Columbiana county and around the world.  We are glad that you have visited our website and we invite you to visit us in person.

Pastor P. Douglas George
